I was reading for my baptismal exam just last week and it was a lot; the fact I had to memorize at least one verse to back every statement was a struggle, I wouldn’t lie. And amid this cramming and reading, I still hadn’t finished studying the manual.
At church, the Vice Chancellor of Redeemers’ University paid a visit and strongly spoke on the fact that we should watch and pray, so we don’t fall into temptations, he went on to emphasize that there shouldn’t be any form of examination malpractice and how expensive it is for us to be schooled here. Telling us, the Holy Spirit is our friend we should ask Him to strengthen us with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, we should endeavor to study and leave the rest to God and prepare well so we don’t run into problems, and have confidence in ourselves.
I was awestruck and pondered on these statements and went home rejoicing that Sunday.
You wouldn’t believe it guys!!- after resting a bit, I decided to finish up my study in time for my examination; through so much cramming, I got tired. I had this thought why don’t I cheat my way through; why don’t I write some words on my thighs and stop stressing myself? I know you are like shook right now, well, I immediately rebuked that thought and the force behind it. FYI: the devil.
Now, guys! I love you so much but Jesus beat me to it. I know the timing isn’t convenient and I’m not sorry to say, that is life; so, get it fast stop looking for the easy ways out, and start acting now. Remember, there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit Romans 8:1. So, instead of worrying and complaining about how the semester is a ‘skit’, get up and start studying, start revising, start attending the study groups and pray to God to help you in the exams, and the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance everything you have read.
I just thought to share this with you guys, PS: you all intruded into my quiet time, but the Holy Spirit wants you to have this so why not?
Media I’m consuming this week:
Listening: I find Gospel music very inspiring it’s a message in each melody. Mostly listen to Bethel Music, Hillsong Music, and TY Bello’s new album; Heaven Has Come.
Watching: Extraction 2, Then Came You, Midnight Sun, Everything Everything.
Reading: School work.
