I usually complain, a lot. Mostly about my over protective folks not allowing my social era to come out. But, lol! In this few weeks I explored through thick and thin of my childhood/teenage life.
It hits differently when you visit places you always did go to have fun during your childhood, makes you understand you’ve grown and you can still do the things you love. on my visit to one of my childhood places I remembered how I met the scary Nigerian Santa Claus. I cried my lungs out that day, I was just five, my folks had made a mistake taking me there. And the camera man didn’t hesitate to take a good photograph of my running nose and crying face.
This just made me realize I was always a crybaby lol.
In my fun adventure, the fun I didn’t know would bring out my crybaby era. Random people were talking and I happened to eavesdrop on their conversation.
this conversation started because apparently a young girl.Teenager to be precise was nearly losing her mind screaming so loudly from the ride she took, well luckily for her she had an adult sitting right behind her unlike me lol. Oops let me not be too fast in my words.
As they were walking they said to themselves.
“what’s this type of fun?”
The other laughed and said
“the type that did make you cry.”
I literally laughed it over, got my tickets to the merry-go-round and was having mixed feelings about taking it again. I couldn’t back out now I wasn’t going to let a whole 1K go for waste. The instructor had cautioned us to take our seats and buckle our seatbelts. And it all started. In just a minute, I was high above the ground, I started screaming and begging for the ride to stop, I didn’t even know when I started crying. Lol.
I wondered how the children in that ride didn’t cry. I became the clown everyone around wanted to see. At the sound of the stop, I opened my eyes and was glad it had all come to an end. Heights are so not my thing.
I glanced back at that statement
“the type that did make you cry.” Lol.
And took to my heels when the instructor told us to come off it.
Welp, this would be all, have a fun week ahead.
But not too much fun, lol.
This week I visited the National Children’s Park N Zoo Abuja. And it was amazing seeing the hyena, lion, crocodile, parrots, monkeys, piton and lots more. (although most of them looked half dead. Lol)
I also visited Magic land, Abuja. And had the best time and had childhood memories brought back, and again I remembered ‘crybaby me’.
I also had the amazing suya, yoghurt and their lovely chocolate popcorn at Yahuza Suya Spot, Games Village, Abuja.
That’s all for now!
And remember as always I’m rooting for you.
