Hey sweet one, how are you really doing? How’s life in general? I hope you’re carrying God along and not leaving Him by the wayside; I hope you are doing okay and living life, I hope you’re laughing, smiling, eating food, and being a star.
This is an impromptu letter that, God just told me to share with you guys. So, I have been studying the book of Esther, and God is opening my eyes to see things that I’m going to share with you quickly.
I believe we all know who Esther is in the bible. if you don’t know her I’m sure this meme can remind you of something about her.
But I’m just going to list out some things I’ve learnt. Like I said I’m still studying the book of Esther.
King Ahasuerus: this guy in the book of Esther was a powerful king, I mean he was controlling over a hundred and seven and twenty provinces! Like omo, that is not a small number o, so reading about him, the Holy Spirit showed me a lot of his bad behaviors. Just to put this out there I think the king was a very foolish King I’ll explain why as we progress. In the beginning he was celebrating his wealth, riches and power. So, pride stepped in, and on the seventh day of his party he got drunk, and he acted foolish. He commanded his chamberlains and other men to bring his queen to show her beauty to the people (Esther 1:10). This is why I said he was a foolish King! I pictured him as King Baratheon in the Game of Thrones Movie, how he suddenly couldn’t handle things himself only to get drunk and act foolishly. King Ahasuerus showed his foolishness again when Haman was planning to destroy the Jews, instead of the King to actually find out, ask questions before decreeing that wicked scheme of Haman he gave him his ring and after the decree was sent, he and Haman sat down to drink, while the city was perplexed. (Esther 3:15)
Queen Vashti: to be honest I love her! Like the way she stood up for herself and said no to the King knowing fully well the circumstances of her actions. (Esther 1:12). So, I went on to ask God this question: but Vashti was saying no to the wrong thing, so why was she still removed and replaced? (Esther 1:19-20) and God told me that yes, she said no to the wrong thing, but God had to remove her for Esther to step in, He had already seen the future, that the Jews would be destroyed if there wasn’t someone in the palace by the King’s side, so He needed to create a place for Esther. And I was like, whattttttt? That’s you just being God, and I prayed a prayer: lord, whoever is seating where I supposed to be remove them and place me there in Jesus’ name!
Mordecai: this man was something, I love the fact that he stood his ground, he knew his God and he knew bowing down to Haman would be a dishonor to God. Mordecai was a wise man, when Esther was picked together with the young fair virgin women, he told her not to reveal her identity yet (That is Esther was a Jew) Mordecai wasn’t shy to speak of his identity, (Esther 3:4) and I loved that, we as children of God even when it’s hard and difficult we shouldn’t let fear control us, we should remember that we are ambassadors of Christ and wherever we go everyone must know who we are. Don’t be pressured to do anything that doesn’t go with God’s will, no matter the circumstances.
Haman: this man also had power; the king made him something I call his right hand. And because he had control, power, wealth and riches, he decided to command everyone to bow whenever they saw him coming. Thank God for Mordecai, who didn’t agree to such nonsense. So, when Haman found out about Mordecai not bowing down to him, he was full of wrath. (Esther 3:5) And I recalled that in the book of James 1:20 that the wrath of man is not in line with God. And this was so true, because Haman didn’t just want to destroy Mordecai, he wanted to destroy his people as well.
Esther: this woman was humble, fair and beautiful, obedient and loved God. Esther was an orphan and growing up she had learnt how to speak well and deal wisely from her Uncle Mordecai, anything he told her she didn’t argue she just obeyed, I loved that about her. The king was looking for fair young women, but Esther exceeded his expectations, Esther was not only fair she was beautiful. (Esther 1:7) and wherever Esther was God was there with her, she had favor all around her, grace and mercy. When Hegai the keeper of women saw her, he just liked Esther naturally, and he speedily gave her all the things she needed to know and learn (Esther 1:9) Esther wasn’t driven by material things, she was content. When it was her time to meet the King, she didn’t ask for anything, only her master Hegai. (Esther 1:15)
My loves, that would be all for today on my review on the book of Esther, if you read up to this point, you are a real one and I’m happy for you.
Thank you for reading,
Go burn bright you are star.
XOXO.
