For my listeners—here you go!

Love. This is the month of love! And truly, you can’t live on earth without love. You’ve got to have it, and I established that in my last letter.

So, hey, Star! How has walking in love been for you? How has loving your neighbor been—yes, that person who always gets on your nerves? How has it been loving him or her? I know it can be frustrating, but I promise you, as long as you sincerely love God, you can walk in love—not just for this season but for the rest of your life!

Here’s a scripture to back that up:

"Love [God’s love in us] does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking."—1 Corinthians 13.

Take note of God’s love in us.

I mentioned that I would be sharing with you today the secrets of how to practice loving your neighbor. There’s a reason I said practice—because you’ll need the Holy Spirit to train you in loving every day. Love isn’t always easy. Some days, you will cry. Some days, it will seem like it’s not worth it. But here’s the truth:

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." —John 13:35.

That is God’s truth.

What truly makes your fragrance of love different from ordinary human love—which can turn into hatred overnight—is God in you. Because He first loved you, you will naturally love others. The fragrance of God’s love becomes so strong when you genuinely love your neighbors.

You might ask me, Who is my neighbor?

Well, do you see that cleaner who always comes to take out the laundry, sweep the compound, and empty the trash? She is your neighbor. Do you see your boss—the one who constantly seems to dislike you? He is your neighbor. And that domestic help in your home, the one you think doesn’t deserve even a cup of cold water because you pay her a monthly salary? She is your neighbor too.

You might say, But I give to the poor and needy!

Let’s look at this scripture:

"If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing." —1 Corinthians 13:3.

Do you see why you need to always check your heart? Are you giving to the poor as though you are giving to Jesus?

"I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." —Matthew 25:36.

Or are you giving simply to satisfy your ego and maintain your prestige? That’s a question only you can answer for yourself.

I’ll wrap up this letter with this: Love is a fruit of the Spirit.

You need to understand that love can grow and develop. That’s why I said practice loving—because that is the secret! That’s how your fragrance of love becomes so strong that I can sense it even before you say a word.

Love can grow because it is a fruit of the Spirit. And one day, that fruit will mature, and you will begin to love effortlessly—so long as you remain in the Vine, which is Jesus.

I want you to do something for me this week:

Confess how much you love God and His Word. The more you do, the more your love for Him will grow and develop. Jesus will become more real to you, and your fragrance of love will become so strong that others will be drawn to love as well.

This week, love your enemies—not just those who love you.

Happy Valentine's Day 💌📭

With love,

Rejiwritess.
